CBVRCE 2026-2027 NSTU - SCHOOL COUNSELLOR, Various Locations (Probationary)

The school counsellor is responsible for the design and delivery of the comprehensive school counselling program, focusing on proactive, preventative, and responsive programs and services. This involves providing counselling, consulting, coordinating, and program management for students regarding personal, social, educational, and career-Related matters.

Applicants must possess a valid nova scotia teacher’s license and a master's degree in counselling or equivalent, with five years of preferred teaching experience. Required education includes specific graduate-Level courses in counselling theory, ethics, group counselling, and a minimum 400-Hour supervised practicum.
