Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for campers participating in aquatic activities like swimming, canoeing, and kayaking by maintaining constant surveillance and responding immediately to emergencies. They must also enforce waterfront rules, provide emergency care, and complete necessary safety checklists and logs.
Candidates must be experienced in working with youth aged 11-17, hold a mandatory national lifeguard (Nl) certification, and be fluent in french. Required qualifications also include standard first aid + cpr certification, and the ability to pass a criminal background check, with a driver's license being an asset.
