The district enrolls approximately 22,000 students (K-12) and employs over 3500 dedicated staff.</span></p> <p><span><strong>The Richmond School District is accepting applications for elementary and secondary qualified teachers in English Language Learning (ELL) teachers.</strong></span></p> <p><span><strong><span>All applicants must meet the following qualifications for ELL teaching</span></strong><strong><span>:</span></strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Successful completion of a Bachelor of Education;</span></li> <li><span>Recent contract teaching experience and/or recent student teaching experience;</span></li> <li><span>Certified oreligiblefor certification with the Ministry of Education - Teacher Regulation Branch;</span></li> <li><span>Registration with Teacher Qualification Service (TQS).</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong><span>Required ELL Qualifications (elementary and secondary) include</span></strong><strong><span>:</span></strong></span></p> <p><span>Completed or working towards completion of:</span></p> <ul> <li><span>TESL training through a recognized university, or</span></li> <li><span>Queen's University Post Graduate Certificate in Training English as a Second Language in BC, or</span></li> <li><span>The following coursework at UBC (LLED 478C, or 478A and 478B AND 489C, or 489A and 489B);</span></li> <li><span>Equivalent course work from a recognized university.</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong>Compensation:</strong></span></p> <p><span><span><strong></strong>Salary as per</span>Teacher's<span>Collective Agreement current salary range is $59,704 to $109,520</span>annually<span>plus a comprehensive benefits package.</span></span></p> <p><strong><em><span>Due to the volume of applications we receive,<span>ONLY</span>those selectedfor an interview will be contacted.</span></em></strong></p> <p><span>The Richmond School District is committed to recruiting a diverse workforce that represents the community we so proudly serve.
