  • By fostering effective communication, these professionals empower students to succeed academically and socially, promoting inclusive learning environments within schools.</p> <p><strong>POSTING DETAILS</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Position - </strong>Speech & Language Pathologist</li> <li><strong>Team -</strong> Associated Professional</li> <li><strong>Start Date</strong> - As soon as possible (flexible)</li> <li><strong>Employment </strong>- 1.0 FTE Continuing</li> <li><strong>Location(s)</strong> - Varied / To be determined<br></br><br></br></li> </ul> <p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>A Masters degree or equivalent training in Speech & Language Pathology</li> <li>Eligibility for membership in the Speech and Hearing B.C.
  • Association or the Speech-Language Audiology Canada Association</li> <li>Eligibility for membership to the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of B.C.</li> <li>Experience which includes the following would be desirable: diagnostic experience in the full range of communication disorders, including language disorders, articulation, disorders of fluency and voice, and the hearing impaired</li> <li>Background of clinical experience, and the ability to plan and initiate appropriate therapeutic strategies for individual children and small groups of children</li> <li>Experience in acting in a consultative capacity with associate professional staff</li> <li>Or equivalent training, or experience</li> </ul> <p><strong>For your application to be considered, all required documents must be included:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Resume and cover letter </li> <li>A copy of your transcript (official or unofficial) for your program</li> <li>A copy of the credential received after completing your program</li> <li>Certified membership/registration with a relevant regulatory body in BC (ex: CSHBC)</li> <li>Email addresses for a minimum of three references (ideally, supervisors from your most recent role)</li> </ul> <p><strong><br></br></strong></p><p><strong>PLEASE NOTE</strong></p><p>The starting annual salary for this School Teacher position ranges from $59,711-$109,520, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.</p><p>In accordance with the Criminal Record Review Act, successful applicants will be required to consent to a Criminal Record Check prior to employment. </p><p><br></br></p><p><i><b>We thank you for your interest in the Langley School District however, only those persons selected for interviews will be contacted.</b></i></p> <p><i> </i></p>
