Positions available are for infant/toddler, preschool, and 3-5-year-old daycare programs. Early Childhood Educators will provide quality and inclusive programming in a group setting supporting children and families.</span></p> <p><strong><span>Experience:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span>Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and experiences.</span></li> <li><span>Knowledge and understanding of cross-cultural issues that impact the Secwepemc First Nation community.</span></li> <li><span>Knowledge of the Community Care and Assisted living Act and Child Care Licensing Regulations.</span></li> <li><span>Demonstrating understanding of the development of children and their mental, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs.</span></li> <li><span>Demonstrating an understanding of inclusivity of children with special needs.</span></li> <li><span>Encouraging children&rsquo;s learning and positive development of their self-concept.</span></li> <li><span>Appropriately guiding and supervising children in various settings.</span></li> <li><span>Supervising children&rsquo;s indoor and outdoor activities ensuring required safety standards according to licensing are met.</span></li> <li><span>Possessing excellent written and oral skills as well as interpersonal skills<strong>.</strong></span></li> <li><span>Ability to maintain healthy collaborative working relationships with members of staff, community, and other representatives from various organizations.</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><span>Education & Qualifications</span></strong><span> </span></p> <ul> <li><span>Demonstrated ongoing commitment to attend professional development courses annually </span></li> <li><span>Completion of an early childhood education certificate program </span></li> <li><span>Must have current first aid and food safe certificates </span></li> <li><span>Valid BC ECE certificate will be an asset. </span></li> <li><span>Clear criminal record check. </span></li> </ul> <p><strong><span>Conditions of Employment:</span></strong><span> </span></p> <ol> <li><span>A valid Early Childhood Education Certificate </span></li> <li><span>Criminal Record Clearance </span></li> <li><span>Valid First Aid Certificate </span></li> <li><span>Ability to obtain a doctor&rsquo;s certificate ensuring health is adequate for position </span></li> <li><span>Letters of reference (3) </span></li> <li><span>Immunization Status </span></li> <li><span>Valid Food Safe certificate</span></li> </ol> <p><span>Please submit: Cover Letter, Resume and References to the Neskonlith Indian Band.
