The primary responsibility is to ensure the children's medical, physical, emotional, and educational needs are met while providing a safe and nurturing environment. This includes maintaining daily programming and coordinating transportation for necessary appointments.
Candidates should have previous experience in foster care management or support work and the ability to work with children aged 0-17 years. A valid driver's license and the ability to pass background checks are also required.
Preferable previous experience in foster care management and/or support work. Ability to work with children of all ages (0-17yrs) Valid class 5 driver’s license and full insured vehicle with $2,000,000.00 coverage. Demonstrated ability to deal with High Risk behaviors and Infant Care needs Knowledge of Ojibway language would be an asset/Financial management skills an asset. Ability to pass criminal records/name check, child abuse registry and prior contact checks. Qualified candidates will be required to undergo a criminal record check, child abuse registry check, and a prior contact check as a condition of employment. Sagkeeng Community members and Indigenous candidates will be given preference and are encouraged to self-identify as being of Indigenous descent.
