Overview
Coordinate and promote prevention initiatives related to socio-emotional learning, mental health literacy, and overall well-being in classrooms and across the school. Support the implementation and promotion of socio-emotional skills development and prevention of at-risk behaviors programs in the classroom. Collaborate with the school team to identify targeted socio-emotional needs within the school community. Collaborate with the school team in the development of learning plans for designated students. Provide counselling support individually or in small groups tailored to students' socio-emotional needs. Work directly with students with behavior and/or mental health concerns. Support the school team in managing student crises. Communicate with central office specialists, external organizations/professionals, and parents to ensure follow-ups for students. Complete required forms and processes for student designation or diagnosis. Be available during half-days or full days to facilitate workshops in classes in collaboration with the existing team
