Overview
Implement and lead a variety of activities for children in a 3-5 group childcare program. Deliver experiences and activities aligned with developmental needs and the BC Early Learning Framework, including engagement with a Pedagogist and Atelierista. Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating programs and activities that promote care, learning, and well-being. Provide orientation, training, and work direction to auxiliary staff, students, and volunteers. Communicate with families about children’s development and experiences; provide guidance and support; participate in family engagement and fundraising events. Identify and support individual needs of children; collaborate with team members to access resources and supports; implement prescribed routines and adaptive equipment as required. Liaise with external agencies and professionals as directed (e.g., social workers, public health nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists). Maintain records and documentation related to program operations; assist with newsletters and program communications; recommend acquisition of materials and equipment.
