Overview
Coordinate and promote prevention initiatives related to socio-emotional learning, mental health literacy, and student well-being in classrooms and across the school. Support the implementation and promotion of socio-emotional skills development and at-risk behavior prevention programs in the classroom. Collaborate with the school team to identify targeted socio-emotional needs within the school community. Collaborate with the school team to develop learning plans for designated students. Provide counselling individually or in small groups to offer socio-emotional support tailored to students' needs. Work directly with students with behavior and/or mental health concerns. Support the school team in managing student crises. Communicate with central office specialists, external organizations/professionals, and parents to ensure follow-up for students. Complete required forms and processes for student designation or diagnosis. Be available during half-days or full days to facilitate workshops in classes in collaboration with the existing team
