At The Bishop Strachan School, athletics is a vital part of the student experience. It is a chance for girls to develop new skills, self-esteem, sportsmanship, leadership and grit. BSS is part of the Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association, providing athletes with challenging competitive experiences. Our outstanding facilities include a turf field (the first of any girls’ school in Ontario), two gyms, a pool, dance studios, a rock-climbing wall and a fitness centre.
We are seeking an experienced cross country coach for our Middle and Senior School program with a strong running background and a proven track record of coaching athletes across all levels, from beginners to intermediate runners. The ideal candidate will lead team warm-ups, design and implement appropriate training plans, and collaborate closely with the assistant coach through regular debriefs. This coach will also attend cross-country meets to provide hands-on support and encouragement to athletes on competition day.
