The Head Coach is responsible for leading the women's rugby team, including conducting practices, managing games, and overseeing player development. Additionally, the coach will assist with recruiting efforts and off-season conditioning programs.

  • Overview: Robert Morris University is looking for a Head Coach for their Women's Rugby Team. The University is a proud member of the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) with successful men's and women's programs. The team practices 2-3 times per week and plays games most weekends during the season. There are 3-5 away games during the season which typically occur on weekends. Preference is for the coach to attend all practices and games. This is a part-time, non benefit eligible role limited to working no more than 950 hours per calendar year.

Responsibilities

  • Attend practices and games.
  • Assist with the coordination of recruiting and camps.
  • Help manage the team from the bench during games
  • Assist with off-season conditioning/video breakdown.
  • Teach on-field skills and player development.
  • Lead the organization of practices and games.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • One year minimum of coaching at the high school or collegiate level.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, team-player, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
