Required Education & Experience University or art school degree or diploma, and at least three years direct experience in a comparable technical position in a post-secondary institution, or equivalent level of education, training and work experience. Considerable practical experience with all equipment, materials and techniques related to Fine Arts including Ceramics, Sculpture, Painting, Drawing and Printmaking practices. Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities Demonstrated ability to communicate and demonstrate fundamental processes in Fine Arts including Ceramics, Sculpture, Painting, Drawing, and Printmaking. Proven ability to supervise and train students and staff in the safe use of all studio equipment and materials. Working knowledge of WHMIS and occupational health and safety standards, with current OFA Level One certification. Computer literacy including word processing, spreadsheets, database use, and inventory/budgeting software. Effective time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 22 kg. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, exercising sound judgment and initiative.
