About the role

Perform office functions to support the operation of Adult Education.

Maintain student records.

Act as receptionist: greet visitors, answer telephone, route phone calls, direct visitors, and maintain a message service for school staff, students, and others.

Type from copy and rough draft correspondence, reports, forms, statements, and classroom materials.

Provide information and assistance to the public and other staff regarding policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.

May assist with SFE system for placement of Employees On-Call.

OPPORTUNITY: OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT </strong></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>

In this position, you will:</p><ul><li>Perform office functions to support the operation of Adult Education.</li><li>Assist in the preparation and verification of Ministry reports (1701, SADE, TRAX, Provincial exam/registration).</li><li>Accurate data entry of student information and registration, student record maintenance.</li><li>Prepare and maintain a variety of standard office records, compile and prepare summaries and reports.</li><li>Act as receptionist to greet visitors, answer telephone, route phone calls, direct visitors and maintain a message service for school staff, students and others.</li><li>Types from copy and rough draft a variety of material including correspondence, reports, forms, statements, classroom materials, etc.</li><li>Provide information and assistance to the public and other staff regarding policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.</li><li>May be required to work with SFE system to assist in the placement of Employees On-Call.</li><li>Perform other work within the band as assigned.</li></ul><p> <strong> Qualifications </strong> </p><ul><p> </p><li> Completion of Grade 12 plus one (1) year post-secondary training in business/office administration and a minimum of two(2) years of office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. </li> <li> Thorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs. </li> <li> Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and communication skills. </li> <li> Excellent organizational skills and ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines. </li> <li> Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.</li><li>Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy within a busy work environment.</li> <li>

Must be able to meet the following assessments: current Word and Excel (+65%), and composing correspondence.</li> <li> Candidate must possess or be willing to obtain an occupational first aid certificate and will be required to perform occupational first aid if assigned by the principal. Requirements

Completion of Grade 12 plus one (1) year post-secondary training in business/office administration.

Minimum of two (2) years of office experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
