The Supply Teacher is responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans while delivering effective instruction to primary students. They must also monitor student progress, maintain classroom environments, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.

(d) Extra-Curricular Activities - lead, plan, or supervise quarterly extra-curricular clubs. (e) Academic Programming (reviewing and/or creating course profiles/outlines, assessment plans, unit of inquiry plans, writing and proofing report cards). (f) Monthly Calendar/Programming – create monthly calendars & programming lists (Kindergarten to Grade 8); ensure these are current & displayed on bulletin boards and classroom display boards/windows. (g) Utilize the designated Learning Management System (LMS)– all information, including classroom lessons, assignments, projects, homework, tests, quizzes, special events, pictures of students at work, etc., is to be posted regularly on the above. (h) Dress Code - Rowntree-branded blazer or sweater, along with a white dress shirt with black dress pants or skirt. (i) School-Wide Activities - attend two (2) school-wide activities (i.e. open house, special events, school event) a year. (j) Classroom Presentation/Maintenance: a. Classroom display areas should be updated to reflect the current curriculum in core subjects (Math, Language, Social Studies, Science) b. Classrooms must be swept, desktops cleaned and sanitized after each snack, lunch and at the end of the day. c. Teacher info board posted by the teacher's desk must include allergy lists, emergency information, and lists indicating where students go after school (bus, parent pick-up,after-school program).
We anticipate the salary range to be $20.00 CAD/HR.
An individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors which include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
