As we continue to grow, we are seeking a full-time Early Childhood Education (ECE) Instructor to join our academic team and help prepare for the next generation of early childhood educators.

The Role This is an exciting opportunity to join Keyin College as a full-time instructor, delivering engaging, hands-on education that prepares students for rewarding careers in the early learning and childcare sector.

As an Early Childhood Education Instructor, you will deliver both theoretical and practical instruction across a variety of early childhood education topics while fostering a supportive, inclusive, and learner-focused classroom environment. You will play an important role in helping students develop the knowledge, practical skills, professionalism, and confidence required to support the growth, development, and well-being of young children.

This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility, collaboration, and a passion for education. The ideal candidate is an experienced early childhood educator with knowledge of current industry, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to mentor and inspire future professionals.

What You'll Do Deliver engaging classroom and practical instruction in Early Childhood Education courses Facilitate learning experiences that support child development, inclusive practices, play-based learning, curriculum planning, and positive guidance strategies Support students through coaching, mentorship, and academic guidance Evaluate student knowledge and competencies through assignments, examinations, presentations, projects, and practical assessments Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress Collaborate with academic leadership and fellow faculty to support program quality and student success Prepare students for professional practice by reinforcing ethical standards, effective communication, professionalism, and best practices in early learning and childcare Stay current with emerging research, provincial standards, regulations, and best practices in early childhood education Assist in maintaining classroom resources, instructional materials, and learning environments

What You Bring Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution Combination of education and professional experience equivalent to six (6) years Current professional experience working in the early learning and childcare sector Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum planning, inclusive practices, family engagement, observation and documentation, and positive behaviour guidance Thorough understanding of provincial early learning standards, childcare regulations, health and safety practices, and child protection responsibilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and support adult learners Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or instructional experience is considered an asset Current Early Childhood Educator certification or eligibility for provincial certification is considered an asset
