About the Opportunity: Responsibilities include: Support classroom instruction and help maintain a safe, welcoming learning environment Supervise students throughout the school day (classroom, hallways, playground, cafeteria) Follow provided lesson plans and school procedures Utilize school-approved curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students Build positive relationships with students and school staff Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues Perform other duties as assigned About You: Eligible for or currently hold a State of Michigan Substitute Teaching License Minimum of 60 completed college credit hours (education or related field preferred) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage confidential information appropriately Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks Experience working with students or in an urban environment is a plus—but not required About Us “We believe that every child should be able to be anything they want in life, regardless of their birthplace and circumstances.” – Ron Packard, CEO & Founder ACCEL Schools is a network of 80+ high-performing public charter schools serving PK–12 students.

Requirements

Candidates must be eligible for or hold a State of Michigan Substitute Teaching License and have at least 60 completed college credit hours. Ability to pass criminal background checks and strong communication skills are required.
