The Clinical Coordinator manages the dental lab and clinic functions, including equipment setup, supply maintenance, and safety monitoring. They support the student learning experience by overseeing the use of materials and maintaining sterilization and radiographic processing programs.

Position Location: CDI Winnipeg Compensation: Base salary of $48,000 - $52,000 Employment Type: Full-TimeWork Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PMAnticipated Start Date: As soon as possible WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Specifically, the Clinical Coordinator - Dental Assistant will be responsible for:

Supporting the clinical, lab and administrative functions of the campus to enhance the student experience. Acting in a manner that upholds the College standards. Supporting the clinical and lab functions of the campus to enhance the student experience by:

Enhancing the learning experience of the students by setting up the labs and preparing equipment and materials for student use.

Keeping the dental lab and clinic stocked with the necessary supplies.

Monitoring students in the use and care of equipment and materials.

Directing student questions to instructors, Clinical staff and Clinical Assistant II Setting up and labelling of student files and clinic binders for new cohorts.

Checking to ensure the correct weights and measures are being used during compounding exercises.

Ensuring that the correct safety procedures and dress codes are being followed in the lab and clinic area.

General daily cleanup and maintenance of the dental lab and clinic area.

Maintaining sterilizer monitoring program.

Maintaining the DOS badge monitoring program.

Daily cleaning of radiographic processing equipment and replenishing of radiographic processing chemicals.

WHY ARE YOU A GREAT FIT? To be successful in the position of Clinical Coordinator - Dental Assistant , individuals must be committed to developing, maintaining and demonstrating the following Education and Experience:

A diploma or certificate from a university of college recognized by CDI College in Dental and/or Dental Assisting. A minimum 2 years related work and/or practical experience. Registered Dental Assistant with current license. Current CPR and First Aid Certification Individual scope of practice must include any skills which they may be instructing in the clinic Must have completed or be pursuing formal training in education/facilitation methods i.e. professional instructor’s certificate.

Requirements

Candidates must be a Registered Dental Assistant with a relevant diploma or certificate and at least 2 years of practical experience. Required certifications include current CPR, First Aid, and formal training or pursuit of an instructor's certificate.
