Market context

Ontario Child and Youth Worker roles stay competitive

In Ontario, Child and Youth Worker roles are commonly driven by demand in youth services, residential care, and community programs. These jobs are competitive because employers often look for a relevant degree or equivalent, a valid Vulnerable Sector Check, Standard First Aid/CPR Level C, and a smartphone with data; a driver’s license and CPI, TCI, or NVCI training can strengthen an application.
