Provide one-on-one support to children with autism spectrum disorder to help them learn and develop meaningful life skills. Work within a team to implement individualized goals in community settings, childcare centres, or classrooms.

Position Summary

We are seeking fun, energetic, enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our team in supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to learn, discover and explore! As a tutor, you will be an integral part of a team, working one-on-one with children and families, teaching meaningful skills in all life areas based on individualized goals. This opportunity, taking place in a community setting: childcare centre, family home or a St.Amant classroom location, encourages creativity and play, inspiring both yourself and the child you are supporting to find joy in learning. Qualifications

Minimum education of Grade 12 diploma or equivalent Strong written and oral communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to work within a team Current First Aid and CPR certification Assets: Post-secondary course work in behaviour modification/applied behaviour analysis (ABA) Previous experience as a tutor in a supervised applied behaviour analysis (ABA) program Previous experience working with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities or ASD Knowledge of the philosophies and practices in education, care and support services for individuals with disabilities We Provide: Excellent, ongoing training in creative teaching strategies and behavioural principles Regularly scheduled team meetings for collaboration with supervisors and co-workers A significant career path in the field of ABA specializing in ASD The opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and their families Excellent benefits package The above information is intended to describe the general nature of this position and is not considered to be a complete statement of duties and responsibilities. Conditions of Employment

Successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening, Adult Abuse Registry Check, Child Abuse Registry Check and Prior Contact Check Successful candidates must complete a series of Occupational Health Checks. This includes the requirement to confirm immunization or immunity of specific communicable diseases

Requirements
