Market context

BC district counselling roles are selective

In British Columbia, K-12 district Indigenous education counsellor roles are typically in steady demand because schools need staff who can support student wellbeing, cultural connection, and academic engagement. These positions are competitive because they require a recognized master’s degree, K-12 experience or training, and preference is often given to candidates with Indigenous ways of being and health experience. If you are considering applying, review the district’s expectations closely and prepare examples of counselling work with children and youth. Job requirements and benefits on this platform are AI-summarized from the original job description, saving you research time.
