This is an excellent opportunity where you will work one-on-one or in small classroom groups with our students.
Our students currently receive EA support in person and online. </p><p>As an Educational Assistant you will be part of a talented multidisciplinary team working with children, families and school staff.
We have hundreds of students from all over the province, each one working on individualized programs in a variety of learning environments. . </p><p>This position is for September- June and the hourly wage is dependent upon qualifications and experience. </p><p>Qualifications: </p><ul><li>A certificate from a recognized post-secondary college such as a Special Education Teaching Assistant or equivalent post-secondary studies </li><li>Background in supporting students with Disabilities and Diverse learning needs is required </li><li>Applicants must be dedicated to inclusive education and committed to learning new skills in a team-based environment. </li><li>Strong written and oral English communication skills. </li><li>Must be computer literate and knowledgeable about gmail, google drive and proficient in video conferencing tools. </li><li>A valid Ministry of Justice criminal record check is required as part of the hiring process. </li></ul>Classroom-based EAs work with small groups within the classrooms under the direct supervision of a TLA teacher.
All supports are in-class, and range from academic support and behavioural prompting to social and executive functioning support.
