<p><b>BEHAVIOUR INTERVENTIONIST 1.0 FTE</b></p><p>Langley Christian School is accepting applications for behaviour interventionists at the elementary and middle school campuses.</p><p><b><br></br></b></p><p><b>WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? </b></p><ul><li>You are a life-long learner who wants to grow and thrive in your work.</li><li>You bring joy and passion for supporting students academically as well as social-emotionally. </li><li>You are a collaborative, engaged and innovative thinker.</li><li>You want to work in a connected, well-resourced and rewarding work environment at a professionally supportive school community of over 160 faculty & staff dedicated to being leaders in education.</li><li>You have a story to tell that prepared you well for this position at this school for this moment, and you want to work where you will feel valued and be able to make a difference in your calling to your work as a Behaviour Interventionist.</li></ul><p> <br></br></p><p> <b>THE POSITION? </b></p><ul><li>Reporting to the Director of Learning Support Services and working collaboratively with the classroom teacher, Learning Support Teacher and Youth Care Worker, and the broader school team, the Behaviour Interventionist (BI) plays a vital role in supporting Autistic individuals with complex needs and other students with diverse needs.</li><li>Provide one-to-one and group-based support to Autistic students, or other students, tailoring interventions to their individual needs.</li><li>Collaborate in the co-planning and implementation of skill acquisition programs, student response plans, and safety plans to promote student success and well-being.</li><li>Support Autistic students with co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, mental health challenges, ADHD, and trauma by helping them develop strategies and tools to enhance their self-management and social-emotional skills.</li><li>Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress, ensuring interventions are evidence-based and outcomes-driven.</li><li>Actively contribute to a collaborative school environment by working with students and the school team on proactive problem-solving approaches that foster independence and resilience.</li></ul><p><br></br></p><p><b> WHAT DO WE OFFER? </b> </p><p>Competitive compensation ($40,568 annually)</p><p>Collaboration with outstanding administrators and educational faculty.</p><p>Access to resources and encouragement to dream big, pursue your giftings and build something impactful for the future.</p><p><strong><br></br></strong></p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li> A minimum of 6 months of experience as a Behaviour Interventionist, supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication for diverse learners and stakeholders.</li><li>Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.</li><li> Solid understanding of human development and the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behaviour (VB), including related assessment and therapeutic techniques.</li><li>Committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that aligns with organizational values.</li><li>Current Crisis Prevention certification (e.g., CPI or equivalent).</li><li>First Aid and CPR certification.</li><li>Demonstrated sense of purpose and identity rooted in Biblical principles.</li><li>Active participation in a local Christian church community, reflecting alignment with the organization's mission and values.</li></ul><p><b>HOW TO APPLY?</b></p><p>Send your resume, contact information for 2 professional references, contact information for 1 reference speaking to your faith and character, and a cover letter to: careers@langleychristian.com. </p><p><b>PLEASE INDICATE YOUR CAMPUS (ELEMENTARY OR MIDDLE SCHOOL) PREFERENCE IN YOUR APPLICATION. </b></p><p>Find out more at: <a></a></p><p>We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.</p><p> <br></br></p><p> <br></br> <br></br> <br></br> </p><p> <br></br></p>
