Range:</strong> The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $10,066 to $17,043, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.</p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong> We offer a competitive benefits package and pension.</p> <p><br></br> <br></br> Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers'<br></br> Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).<br></br> <br></br> <strong>-Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.</strong><br></br> <br></br>

Summary:</strong><br></br> </p><p>Counsellor - Secondary, Grades 7-12</p><p>0.143 FTE temporary contract, starting September 8, 2026 or upon completion of the posting process to December 18, 2026, or return of the incumbent.</p><p>Must have a Master's Degree recognized by the BC Teacher Regulation Branch in Counselling, Psychology in Counselling or Psychology. Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience at the Secondary School level. Must have training and or experience in trauma informed practice.</p><p>This position is tentatively scheduled for Mondays and Fridays. Requirements

Master's Degree recognized by the BC Teacher Regulation Branch in Counselling, Psychology in Counselling, or Psychology.

Degree/formal training and/or teaching experience at the Secondary School level.

Training and/or experience in trauma-informed practice.

Preference for applicants with BC Teacher Certification.
