The Physical Education Teacher plans and delivers physical education curriculum to K-12 students while fostering physical fitness, social skills, and teamwork. They are also responsible for maintaining a safe, productive classroom environment and collaborating with staff to support students with special education and behavioral needs.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and a valid Physical Education K-12 or Special Education license. The role requires the ability to perform physical restraints and pass comprehensive background checks, including FBI and CBI screenings.

The Physical Education Teacher is responsible for creating a classroom environment that fosters, promotes and develops an understanding of the relationship of healthy body function and exercise; that motivates each student to cultivate physical fitness and appropriate social and emotional adjustment; that discovers and develop talents of students in physical achievement; and that develops strength, skill, agility, poise, and coordination in individual, dual and team physical activities and sports, in accordance with each student’s ability.
The estimated salary for this role is $62,000.00-$66,000.00 annually.
