1 Description: Lab instructors are responsible for teaching and delivering labs to students as directed by the course instructor.

Duties and Responsibilities

Lab instructors are responsible for teaching labs, set up, clean up, preparing labs ahead of scheduled lab times, grading assignments, maintaining equipment, organizing equipment, tracking lab supply inventory, and other duties as assigned by the instructor. Lab instructors may be assisted by lab demonstrators and ensure that demonstrators are informed of lab procedures. Applicants must be available for all scheduled labs as assigned. Lab instructors are expected to perform many of these duties outside of scheduled lab times, including the lab exam.

Qualifications

The preferred applicant will have a graduate degree in the social sciences and teaching experience in quantitative social science research methods and statistics at the undergraduate level.
