  • Overview: The Department of Nursing at Robert Morris University invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor. The position includes a 24-credit teaching load for a 9-month visiting faculty appointment. The primary responsibility of teaching will be pediatric nursing in the undergraduate and/or graduate nurse practitioner program(s).

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will effectively teach undergraduate and graduate-level nurse practitioner courses using a variety of content delivery formats, including on ground, online, and distance education/remote courses. The candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student success through effective teaching-learning practices and course outcomes assessment. The candidate will possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact successfully with students, faculty and the university community.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must possess a graduate degree in nursing with a doctoral degree in nursing or education or related field (i.e., public health). An unencumbered Pennsylvania or multi-state RN license and nurse practitioner certification in a relevant specialty area (i.e., FNP, PNP) are required. Teaching experience in higher education is preferred.
