Aberdeen Hall provides<ul><li> Competitive Compensation at a daily rate of $170 </li><li> Innovative and progressive approach to teaching </li><li> Newly built, inspiring campus setting </li><li> An open, collaborative, and community-spirited culture</li></ul> Position Summary The Early Childhood Educator (TOC) plays a vital role in creating a nurturing and developmentally enriching environment that supports children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
You will step into our classrooms to implement our Montessori-inspired curriculum and maintain a safe, warm, and inclusive environment. This is a casual, on-call position for the duration of the school year, from September through to June, for an 8.5-hour day sometime between 8:00 am and 5:15 pm. TOCs will be contacted as needed, either being pre-scheduled in advance or contacted the morning of the shift. Success Factors<ul><li> Certified Early Childhood Educator (ECE) and a valid BC license to practice. </li><li> Montessori Training would be considered an asset </li><li> Past experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or similar setting. </li><li> Current First Aid & CPR Certification. </li><li> Clearance of a Criminal Record Check. </li><li> Experience in an Independent School would be an asset. </li><li> Computer Skills: Google Classroom, docs, sheets, slides, and Gmail. </li><li> Ability to understand the importance of emotional intelligence and empathy in building trust and contributing to a positive working atmosphere across the School community. </li><li> Known to communicate, negotiate, collaborate, and build partnerships effectively. </li></ul> As part of our active commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, we strive to welcome students, families, and employees with a diverse range of identities and backgrounds to enrich the Aberdeen Hall family with varied perspectives.
