FAPT08-26 Part-Time Instructor NURS 317: Nursing and Theory Practice: Maternity

School of Nursing Faculty of Human and Health Sciences Terrace Part-Time, Term The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) invites applications for a sessional instructor position in the School of Nursing for the January 2027 semester.

Current registration as a Practising RN with the BCCNM is required for all clinical positions, and preferred for all other positions.Teaching experience at the postsecondary level and/or evidence of instructional training is preferred.

There is possibility of remote teaching for some theory courses; please indicate a preference for remote teaching in your application, if applicable.

Winter 2027 NURS 317 Nursing Theory and Practice: Maternity Clinical Instructor (Rotation A) – Contract is for 2.5 SCH; Clinical days Wed – Sun, Jan 07 – Feb 28, 2027 Clinical Instructor (Rotation B) – Contract is for 2.5 SCH; Clinical days Wed – Sun, Mar 01 – Apr 13, 2027 This course takes a strengths-based approach to caring for birthing persons and families of diverse and multicultural backgrounds.

Emphasis is placed on the integration and application of evidence-based theory, standards for nursing practice, effective communication, critical thinking, and use of the nursing process to optimally prepare nurses as caregivers for, and collaborators with, birthing persons, neonates, families, and the health care team.

Salary The salary for Part-Time Sessional Instructors is determined on the basis of Semester Contact Hour (SCH) at a rate of $3,046.03 per SCH.
