Early childhood educator (Ece level 3) – maternity leave contract
Contract Dates: July 2, 2026 – June 30, 2027

Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and record keeping
- Plan and implement an emergent curriculum based on children’s interests
- Support children’s emotional, physical, and behavioural well-being
- Foster development across social, emotional, cognitive, and physical domains
- Conduct attendance tracking and health & safety checks
- Collaborate with external professionals (e.g., Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Early Interventionists) as required
- Support children through daily transitions within the classroom
- Actively participate in team meetings and professional development workshops

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Strong computer skills for documentation and classroom operations
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to take initiative and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
- Valid Alberta ECE Level 3 Certification (required)

- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 45 lbs
