Job description

  • <p><strong>Early Childhood Educator (ECE) </strong><strong>or Assistant (ECEA)</strong></p><p>Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking certified Early Childhood Educators or ECE Assistants for a part- time position (8.75 hours/week; 1 day a week 11:15am – 4:30pm daycare and Fridays 8:15am- 12:15pm preschool) in their Daycare/Preschool Programs, commencing immediately.
  • The ideal applicant will be responsible for supporting this programming, possess a valid Early Childhood Educator license, a valid First Aid certificate, and be subject to a valid Criminal Record Check using the link and code provided by the school. </p><p>Preference will be given to candidates who: </p><ul><li>Share in the Catholic faith and actively participate in the life of their parish </li><li>Work collaboratively to plan, implement and assess developmentally appropriate activities and experiences </li><li>Are energetic and enthusiastic about working with children </li><li>Build trust and positive relationships with students, families, co-workers and supervisors through effective communication and collaborative efforts </li><li>Foster a welcoming, safe environment </li><li>Demonstrate a high degree of initiative, planning and organizational skills </li><li>Provide responsible and effective supervision of children of varying ages </li></ul>The Early Childhood Educator Worker is responsible for keeping with the philosophy of Sacred Heart Catholic School and the Catholic Diocese of Kamloops, as well as for quality client service to foster student and program success.
