Position Overview Reporting to the Children Program Coordinator, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for ensuring efficient, high-quality execution of a range of programs, activities and administrative duties while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. The successful candidate will provide all aspects of administrative support to Tropicana Summer Camp to ensure quality and accuracy of operations. Key Responsibilities Greet campers and parents; answer phone calls and inquiries Assist in reporting and managing camp supplies and logistics Maintain and update attendance sheets and registration forms Prepare memos and take detailed meeting minutes Format, sort, print, scan, and file documents Assist with payment collecting and processing Schedule meetings, events, activities, and information sessions Track, document, and ensure all applicable paperwork and system updates are completed Provide administrative support to the camp management team and correspond with various parties Skills and Qualifications Must meet Canada Summer Jobs eligibility (see below). Minimum pursuing post-secondary education (in Childcare, Community Services, or a related field). Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially over the phone and email. Comfortable initiating contact with new people. Excellent organizational, time management, and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Negative Vulnerable Sector Check issued within one year of hire date Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment. Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN); and Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
