The Child Care Worker is responsible for the nurturing, supervision, and safety of children aged 6 to 12 while planning and implementing engaging recreational activities. They also manage program volunteers, coordinate with community service providers, and ensure all facility and safety regulations are met.
Candidates must have a diploma, certificate, or relevant experience in child care, recreation, or social services. Essential requirements include being at least 19 years old, holding a valid First Aid certificate, Food Safe certification, and a Class 4 Driver's Licence.

Responsible for caring, nurturing, supervision and safety of children (6 – 12 years old). Plans and implements activities and special events for a program. Use Club Vans to drop off and pick up children from school and transport to various sites for recreational purposes. Recruits, selects, dismisses, orients, trains, monitors and provides support to program volunteers. Liaises with community service providers and other professionals to coordinate service provision, facilitate referrals to the program and represent the organization or program in external events. Establish open communication with parents/care givers. Ensure that specific goals of children and program are met. Ensure Agency Policies and Procedures, program standards, WCB standards, Community Care Licensing regulations, risk management requirements and general facility safety standards are met Maintains related records and statistics and produces reports as required.
A diploma, certificate and/or relevant experience working with children in recreation, education or other social services. Must be at least 19 years of age (as per Provincial Licensing Standards) Current First Aid Certificate and Food Safe (or willingness to obtain) Class 4 Driver’s Licence or willingness to obtain Successful completion of Agency screening process, including criminal record check
