Mentors are responsible for supervising children and leading recreational, educational, and creative camp activities. They must ensure the safety and well-being of all participants while acting as positive role models.
Candidates must be between 15 and 30 years old, hold valid First Aid and CPR certification, and have a completed Police Reference Check. Previous experience working with children and strong leadership skills are highly preferred.

We are seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and energetic Youth Summer Camp Mentors to support the delivery of our summer camp programs for children ages 11-18. Mentors will play a key role in creating a fun, inclusive, and safe camp experience.
Supervise and actively engage children in daily camp activities Plan and lead recreational, educational, and creative programming Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at all times Foster positive behavior and act as a role model Assist with daily routines, transitions, meals, and outdoor activities Communicate effectively with staff, participants, and families Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and safety protocols
Educational background applicable to the position Experience working with children ages 6–12 Previous leadership or supervisory experience in camp, recreation, or childcare settings (preferred) Must meet all Canada Summer Jobs requirements, including: Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act Be legally entitled to work according to provincial/territorial legislation International students are not eligible; recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian citizens or permanent residents Strong program planning and organizational skills Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills Good decision-making and problem-solving skills Current First Aid and CPR certification (mandatory) Police Reference Check completed within the last 6 months (mandatory prior to start date) HIGH FIVE: Principles of Healthy Child Development training (asset/required)
