The Paraprofessional assists the Teacher with classroom activities, promotes positive student behaviors in academics and extracurriculars, and provides oversight to ensure student safety and a positive school climate. Duties include supporting lessons, assisting with planning, performing clerical tasks, and helping maintain the classroom environment.
Candidates must possess an Associate Degree, two years of college coursework, or have passed the Para Professional’s Exam, along with proficiency in MS Office and successful completion of a BCI/FBI check. Essential abilities include working well under pressure, effective prioritization, managing confidential information, and possessing high-quality written and verbal communication skills.

The Paraprofessional assists the Teacher with classroom activities and helps to promote positive student behaviors in both academics and extra-curricular activities. The Paraprofessional provides oversight to ensure student safety and a positive school climate. The Paraprofessional assists the School Leader and Teachers by administering the assigned duties in conformity with the philosophy and policies of ACCEL Schools, the assigned school, the school’s governing board, the State Board of Education, and all applicable laws.
