ABOUT US Kainaiwa Children’s Services Corporation is a growing, dynamic First Nations organization providing programs and services to Blood Tribe children and families in need of support and protection so that they can become positive, healthy contributing members of our community; While maintaining KCSC’s Vision, Mission Statements and incorporating Blood Tribe Traditions through “Kainayssini” the Declaration of the Elders of the Blood Indian Nation.
POSITION OVERVIEW Under the direction of the Supervisor of the Blood Tribe Youth Ranch, you will work with a team in the delivery of treatment based, residential programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide individual and group support to youth in a treatment-based residential setting, including case management and behaviour management. Develop, implement, and participate in structured and unstructured programming and daily activities. Liaise effectively with involved professionals and significant family members. Attend and participate in regular staff meetings. Maintain the residential facility, including cleaning and meal preparation as required. Complete accurate and timely documentation, including daily logs, intake reports, treatment plans, progress reports, summaries, and treatment team meeting minutes. Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and residential program standards. Maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with team members.
Qualifications
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Child and Youth Care or a related field. Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle. Successful completion of CYIM/CSIS check and Criminal Record Check.

- Ability to develop, plan, and organize programming aligned with program goals and objectives.
- Knowledge of Blackfoot language and culture is considered an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based residential environment.
- Knowledge of behaviour management and youth support practices.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to build rapport with youth while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and protecting sensitive information.
- Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
