This role is responsible for fostering a culture of wellbeing and accountability by providing strategic and operational oversight of physical and psychological health and safety initiatives, ensuring legislative compliance. Key duties include leading safety programs, monitoring data, supporting incident response, coordinating training, and facilitating health and safety committee work.
Candidates must possess certification in an approved joint health and safety committee (Jhsc) training program (Level 1 and 2) and instructor certification in standard first aid/Cpr aed, along with a minimum of two years of experience in a health and safety leadership role. In-Depth understanding of the occupational health & safety act and demonstrated experience with wsib processes are also required.
