<p><b><u>Daycare Manager - Sts'ailes Early Education Centre</u></b></p><p>The Sts’ailes Early Education Centre (SEEC) is currently seeking a Daycare Manager to join their team.</p><p>SEEC provides early learning and childcare services with programming that integrates the six</p><p>components of Aboriginal Head Start: Education, Culture and Language, Nutrition, Family Involvement,</p><p>Health Promotion and Social Support.</p><p> </p><p><strong><u><br></br></u></strong></p><p><strong><u>Position Summary:</u></strong></p><p>Reporting to the Director of Education, the SEEC Daycare Manager will oversee the daily operations,</p><p>programming and assessment of early learning as well as the successful transition of children within</p><p>SEEC programming into the K-12 education system.</p><p>The SEEC Daycare Manager will be required to be a strong and dynamic leader who is able to implement</p><p>best practices in early learning and is able to lead, support and coach staff effectively.</p><p>The SEEC daycare manager is a permanent full-time position.</p><p> </p><p><b><u>Qualifications and Requirements:</u></b></p><p>1.

In good standing with Sts’ailes</p><p>2.

Early Childhood Education (ECE) Diploma is required, a bachelor’s degree in child and Youth</p><p>Care, or closely related field is preferred</p><p>3.

A minimum of five (5) years of relevant childcare experience in combination with a minimum of</p><p>three (3) years of management experience</p><p>4.

Demonstrated ability to ensure a safe environment within SEEC including conducting inspections</p><p>and adhering to health, safety and licensing standards</p><p>5.

Demonstrated ability to direct the daily operations of SEEC including, but not limited to,</p><p>scheduling, facility maintenance and compliance with Provincial regulations such as Childcare</p><p>Licensing Regulations in BC as well as the BC Early Learning Framework</p><p>6.

Demonstrated ability to hire, train, mentor, supervise and provide leadership to early childhood</p><p>educators and other SEEC staff</p><p>7.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with families and build partnerships with</p><p>community-based resources</p><p>8.

Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, process childcare subsidies as well as managing</p><p>enrollment and registration in collaboration with the Director of Education.</p><p>9.

Demonstrated ability to support the development of age-appropriate engaging and inclusive</p><p>educational activities in collaboration with the Director of Education.</p><p>10.

Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with access to reliable transportation</p><p>11.

Valid First Aid and CPR certification</p><p>12.

Clear Criminal Record Check for working with Children</p>

Requirements
