Meadow Montessori is an independent day school located in East Maple Ridge, BC with 60 students enrolled in Pre- Kindergarten through Grade 7.</span></p> <p><span>We encourage our students to not only excel academically but also to cultivate virtues like kindness, compassion, and integrity which is essential for their holistic development.

Applicants should have a strong sense of their individual educational philosophy, be community oriented, and align with our inclusive driven practices.

Montessori experience and/or training is not necessary but the ability to engage learners in hands-on learning and a project driven curriculum is required.</span></p> <ul> <li><span>A Bachelor of Education degree, with undergraduate studies in an appropriate discipline</span></li> <li><span>BC Teacher Certification (COQ) or Independent School Teaching Certification</span></li> <li><span>Experience teaching at the Elementary level in a school environment</span></li> <li><span>Has the ability to provide an inclusive program thatfocuses on whole child development, while offering positive child guidance andsupervision.</span></li> <li><span>Knowledge of the environmental factors needed to create nurturing, stimulating learning experiences that support the whole child.</span></li> <li><span>Strong technology and 21st Century Learning skills</span></li> <li><span>Some experience/knowledge/training with gifted and/or students with exceptionalities such as autism and ADHD is an asset.</span></li> <li><span>Applicant should model growth mindset and be dedicated to personal and professional growth and development.</span></li> <li><span>A life-long love of learning, flexibility and a sense of humour is essential.</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><span>WHAT WE OFFER.</span></strong></p> <p><span>We offer the opportunity to work with committed colleagues and innovative curriculum, and &ndash; most importantly &ndash; an inviting, warm, flexible, supportive, and family-like community to work in.
