Core responsibilities
The intervenor will act as a communicator and sighted guide for individuals with a combined loss of hearing and sight, facilitating their interaction with the environment. Additional responsibilities include assisting with daily tasks and transporting clients to appointments.
Requirements summary
The ideal candidate should have a diploma in deafblind services or equivalent and three to five years of experience working with individuals who are deafblind. Formal training in asl and a valid driver's license are also required.
